Christmas is still five months away but the shops are already gearing up for the festive season.

Hamleys in London has announced its top picks for this year with a new take on the Rubik's Cube a firm favourite to be a sell-out.

Hamleys also predicts Barbie and Transformers will be popular choices for 2009.

But the store is preparing for a mixture of brand new, traditional and retro presents to be making this year's Christmas wish lists.
