Do you think they could storm straight back into the Premier League?

We have absolutely no chance

I am absolutely sick of what is going on with us at the minute. Or what is NOT going on to be more precise.

We have 24 days until the new season kicks off, and in the time we have 5 pre-season games, we need to find a new owner, manager, team!!! and give time to the new players to gel together.

We are in an absolute mess, and we are a laughing stock.

I seriously fear what is going to happen to us next season!

When you put it like that, it doesn't sound very promising!

I think a longer term managerial appointment and a realistic focus on a Championship top-half finish whilst sorting out the other issues would set up a promotion charge sooner rather than later.

What we need is a new owner within the next 10 days.

We then need them to either appoint Shearer or a proven manager like Coppell immediately, and we need a lot of wealing and dealing before the season starts.

Even if that happens, we won't be properly ready for the new season.

If I were offered a mid-table finish now, I would take it.

I don't personally feel that Newcastle are in serious danger of not finishing mid-table (not getting relegated in other words) given that for every Middlesbrough or Newcastle in the Championship there's a side many younger fans who are fairly new to football and follow a Big 4 side have probably never heard of.
