Yeah I can't believe how quickly it has come around. Even though I was aware of all the auditions etc in the papers and the Cheryl situation it didn't really hit me until the adverts started to show. Be good to see what the guest judge role is like.

Week One is over and these are my thoughts...
Gamuchirai Nhengu (Gamu)
Image
She was quite unique and one of a kind.
G&S

She has a really good voice but I felt the whole set up was set up. She will lack confidence and personality without him but a great voice. I think he was added for the entertainment value but she jumped at the chance to sing alone rather quick like she was knowing it would happen.
Katie Waissel

She stood out but when it came down to it she wasn't as good as I expected. If she knuckles down she could be good.

Different lol

Cheryl saying lay off the fake tan was rather odd plus they made it seem like Cheryl was against all the new girl groups lol.

heres my thoughts of the ones i remember:
gamu - she was pretty good but i have to admit i didnt like the way she changed the song, i thought it was a bit strange

g and s - the girl was ok but not big in confidence and the bloke just annoyed me

jahm - i couldnt help but laugh at cheryls face when these sung, i bet with acts like this they wish they had the buzzers :cheesey:

Here are my thoughts -

G&S: I thought Caroline (is that her name?) sung quite well. She seemed a little to eager to sing alone though, and the guy was way to happy to get her to sing alone. It seemed a bit staged. I know if I basically got shot down, I wouldn't be rooting on my singing partner, friend or not, as much as he was. Seemed a bit weird.

Gamu: I thought I would enjoy her. She had a bit of a unique sound, yeah? Some parts I liked, some I didn't.

(Those are the only two I remember sadly!). I am also rooting for girl group 'Ladybird' who didn't get a proper audition. They are amazing.

Its weird how they put some acts on the main show and some on the itv2 after show. I quite liked that Holly girl from the ITV2 show and thought she was good enough for the main show.

I don't think I know ladybird was it one of the bands that Cheryl picked on?

I heard they were swapping out episodes and airing one tonight that is supposed to air September 4th since the one for tonight isn't up to Simon's par. Is this true? Ladybird sung 'Parachute', I don't think they really said anything about them. Jo (one of the ladybird members) posted this -- Cheryl LOVED our version of 'PARACHUTE', Louis said he 'REALLY LIKED US' & Simon said 'WE WERE BRILLANT'. :D

I don't understand why they do 2 shows, as I only generally watch the main one. I always forget about the 2nd one to be honest. It seems like there is plenty of time for them all in one show lately.

The early stages just seem to highlight the rubbish acts I think more than highlight the good ones...and I guess whoever make the main show are Simons chosen ones and the average ones get on the spin off show. This year more than other years it just seems so edited and staged to me and it is alot more noticable than previous years.
I think alot had been edited out from the show including an act who they say worked as a prostitute and Simon is said to be stamping out all the editing on the vocals.

Anyway tonights acts...
Temple Fire - Seemed nice enough guys but cannot sing nor dance.
Image
Rebecca Creighton - Certainly looks the part and had a decent voice.
Image
Mary Byrne - Seemed a lovely genuine lady and had a decent voice but didn't wow me.
Image
Michael & Matt - Michael was rubbish but Matt had something different but needs to work on his confidence/awkwardness.
Image
The Reason - Nice enough lads and decent enough voices but I got the impression they were overworked and too polished.
Image
Annastasia Baker - Second time appearing on the show and her whole audition was very staged imo, don't think she has improved that much like the judges made out.
Image
Seven - These were different in a good way and seemed very bubbley personalities.
Image
Unknown - Can't rememeber his name but he is 16 and didn't have a good voice but was a born entertainer...but I also thought he was quite gobby and arrogant.
Image
Husstle - Very polished girlgroup and they could certainly sing and dance.
