Emma Rigby has no desire to return to Hollyoaks - because she wants a varied career.
The actress played troubled Hannah Ashworth for five years, and is now starring in London play Wolfboy.
Asked if she'd go back to the soap that made her famous, she said: "It's not something I want to do. I don't want to do that. I left because I want to try and move forward with my acting career and try and build a CV and experience working with different people, taking on different roles."
She added: "Being in a soap is very limited because you're playing the one person. It was a fantastic five years of my life that I'm very grateful for but I wouldn't want to go back."
Emma hopes ultimately to be involved in dramas and films, but is enjoying the "adrenalin rush" of being on stage.
"You get completely lost in a performance," she added.
Emma plays a nurse in psycho-sexual thriller Wolfboy, which runs until Saturday, July 31 at the Trafalgar Studios 2.
