Hollyoaks newcomer and Cheryl Cole lookalike Rachel Shenton insists she bears no resemblance to the X Factor judge in real life.

Rachel has been cast in the role of wannabe Wag Mitzeee Costello, who boasts the same big hair, dimples and perfect smile that Cheryl is famous for.

But the 23-year-old actress told Heat magazine: "No-one's pointed out the resemblance before. It's just the character. When I put those eyelashes on and get my hair curled, I become a different person."

Rachel added that her "manipulative" character is the opposite of how she is in real life.

Mitzeee and the rest of the Costello family hit screens in July, when they take over the Dog In The Pond pub.
