Former Hollyoaks star Zoë Lister has revealed that she is taking a careful approach to her career following her departure from the soap. In an interview with Take 5 magazine, the actress explained that she is holding out for the right project rather than accepting every job offer she receives. Lister recently bowed out as troubled Zoe Carpenter after three years in the role. Her final scenes aired on the Channel 4 serial in January. Discussing her future plans, the 28-year-old commented: "You have to be clever about what you do next I think, and not just pick the first thing that comes along because you're not working." She added: "My idea is to do some theatre, go to acting classes and just meet lots of people. I'd really like to do some great dramas and films." Lister confirmed that she has been attending "lots of auditions" in recent months and believes "anything could happen" in the future. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/h ... ffers.html

Looks like she is keeping her options open aswell which is good. Not to keen on theatre stuff myself but I would love to see her in a good drama in the future...or even another soap.

Favourite...? Musical? Drama?
What about some Holby City - haha. Is that a drama? OK NO not that haha, I don't really watch much to be honest. More american shows so...
UK TV is actually quite kak.
I'd like to see her in a new drama...a period drama would be good!
Would really love to see her in a cult sort of show..loooove.
Loads of things..haha.

Fave play/musical I meant lol. I would like to see her in a drama and i think she would have been good getting a decent role in the bill if they never cancelled it alot of ex hollyoaks stars seem to do well in that style of thing.

Oh god thank god the bill is gone...! She'd of been great in it but most Hollyoaks people end up there....
Hmmm fave musical...
er..not quite sure but I think Zoe be good in something like Avenue Q. She's more of a dancer though so Flashdance is good! Maybe Hairspray...
Im not going to lie many of the big west end roles she would probably never get because of big west end stars with big voices..she's got a great voice but your voice needs to be outstanding for the big musicals.. plays though..she would be AMAZING in a play.
Right enough id like to hear her sing a whole song herself to see...
So really im just judging on what ive heard so far...which is great!

Yeah I think she would also need to start at the bottom maybe going for a small part before she would get a decent role and it would be a thing she would need to really be into because it seems really hard work. Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy) is doing quite well in doing the stage thing currently but she has worked on serveral other tv things too and been doing it for quite a few years.

I saw Sarah Jayne Dunn on stage a month or so back in 'When Harry Met Sally'. She was really really great and I would so love to see Zoe do something like that!!
