Okay, everyone after seeing an increasing number of threads and complaints I decided to create a campaign on Twitter in order show how much we want Diane and other "older" characters to be used in the show. We can get our opinions across and for more and more people to see and maybe the show's series producer, Emma Smithwick. So, if you have twitter follow: @TeamDianeorama

The name of the account comes from Diane-o-rama, which is Diane and Drama together and Alex Fletcher said it this morning when I was tweeting her, she's brilliant!

Already following on twitter, would like to see Diane get a new man in her life. Possibly someone new with a couple of kids also that move into Dianes house, would give Sinead something more to complain about and would give Finn someone to interact with.

In the last few months (from where I am in April 2013) the writers have really been giving Diane better material, and she's risen from the background to being a character that I'm really enjoying. She especially got some good scenes with her discovering Sinead's role in bullying Esther - and she showed herself to be complex and a little morally grey when she tried to cover up Sinead's bullying.
I'm not at all sure I want her with Tony, she's currently pregnant by him where I'm watching. I am really enjoying her difficult relationships with Sinead and Finn. How did such a nice lady raise two awful people? Must be genetic.

The bullying cover up did taint Diane, and I felt like she did to save her own butt at work as much as for Sinead's benefit. Still, no one in Hollyoaks is perfect!
