Jambo was the typical lad about town and had an eye for the ladies, he had very unique storylines such as his love of a cow called Margaret, he was good friends with Kurt Benson and Tony Hutchinson and the three were very good pals and there for each other in many aspects

Jambo felt left out as Kurt was with Ruth Osborne and Tony was with Julie Matthews he was mad about Dawn Cunningham, after failed dalliences with his stepmother and Carol's sister, Anita, he and Dawn finally admitted their feelings and became a couple, Dawn was the only woman for Jambo...apart from his Bond Bug Beryl. Jambo and Dawn seemed destined for happiness but Dawn was diagnosed with Leukaemia but Jambo and Dawn made the most of their short time together, however, while out on a boat ride Dawn passed away from her illness leaving Jambo devestated

Jambo tried to cope by throwing himself into his landscaping business "Dig It" but he never got over Dawn's death and decided he needed to move on as there were too many memories of her in Hollyoaks so Jambo bid farewell to his friends and moved to Anglesey-but not before he visited Dawn's grave and laid flowers down

Jambo was visited by Tony, Lewis and the gang in Anglesey in a week long series(6.30pm show) as the friends left they knew life in Hollyoaks would not be the same without Jambo

In December 2004 Tony was visited by the "ghost" of Jambo in a take on "A christmas Carol" as Jambo tried to show Tony the error of his miserly ways. It was revealed later that Jambo wasn't dead and was still alive and well in Wales

Jambo has not been seen since but in 2007 Tony's sister-in-law, Tina McQueen, arranged a surprise 30th birthday party for Tony, Tina had invited everyone in Tony's address book. In typical Jambo fashion he text Tony saying "Thanks for the invitation to your surprise birthday party Tony, sorry I can't make it" meaning Tony had known about the party all along thanks to Jambo

What did you think of Jambo's character?

Loved Jambo he was every type of character rolled into one. He was a loveable guy who could do no wrong and was the joker of the bunch. Liked his friendships with Kurt and Tony and Dawn was the only one for him. Gutted they didn't get long together and the boat scene was just soooo emotional. It was nice to see them start as friends and lead upto something special rather than the throw them together in an episode stuff we get these days!

He was a real fun character, proper bounce off the walls type. Not much you could not like about him. Great character

I was watching the old Hollyoaks in Ibiza the other day. Absolutely fantastic and a lot better than the rubbish now.
