We all hate making that important first impression, right? You want people to like you? To want them to want to be your friend? After all, you only get one chance to make a first impression! And those who deserve it, well they can ask?

It was a cold, December evening. Kellie launched herself with gusto into cleaning the flat which she stayed in with her fellow student. There was Josh, loved his Indie music, kind of a cute geek, Dave, completely in love with himself and any woman that falls into his line of vision, then there was posh girl, India. Kellie hadn't quite figured her out yet. They were all out at some student night at the SU bar.

Kellie looked at her phone. Archie, what did he want? Just because they were cousins didn't mean he had to phone her constantly. She refused his call and went back to picking the day old pizza boxes up.

The door opened. Dave walked in, carry-out of beer in one hand, take-away from Il Gnosh in the other. 'Thought you might want some company.' he said with a cheeky grin on his face.
'Why?'
'Because you look....'
'No, I mean why did you leave the bar to come back here?'
'Look, I know, well I don't exactly know how it must be to lose your parents, but I'm here for you.'

'What's the catch? I don't have to sleep with you do I?'
'No. Now stop cleaning, and start drinking!'
