Chapter 29- Since you been gone.
Hannah greated Loretta and Nancy outside
“Hey guys, ready to go?” Hannah asked, sounding bubbly and excited. A few passers by looked at Hannah with distaste, they were outside a hospital.
“Yeah” Nancy said, sounding distracted as she looked back
“your not leaving him” Loretta said, with a smile, and they hailed the next cab to come along, reading the pained expression in Nancys face.
Hannah just sat In the cab opposite Nancy with a confused expression on her face.
“lets get this party started” grinned Loretta, pulling a bottle of champagne out of her bag, just as they got out the cab. Nancy smiled slightly as she took a swig..this was going to be a good night.
Hours later, Justin and Kris were in the flat
“where have all the girls got to?”
“I think Loretta took Hannah and Nancy out boozing”
“no Zoe?”
“well, does she need it?” Kris asked, and Justin recognised the reference, all Zoe did was wonder round drunk and helpless these days.
“maybe we should help her out” Justin mused, and Kris looked at him
“Justin, ive tried mate, you cant help what doesn’t want helping” he said, sounding slightly amusing
“right so no girls. What about we check in on Ravi, then arrange a boys night in his name” Jusitn said, with a small smile. Kris smiled back, he didn’t really know Justin as the caring type, but Hannah and Ravi were the two that he really did care about. He was always back and forth from the hospital, even though he didn’t have a car,so most his money was used cabs.
“sounds great mate. Let me round up the troops” Kris said, turning on his heel.
“Tonights gonna be a good night” from the black eyed peas blared out the stero in the loft, and Zoe had joined a very drunk Hannah, Loretta and Nancy, and they were all dancing around like they had no care In the world.
They were bouncing up and down, shimmying, Calvin didn’t know what had hit him when he opened up.
Rhys came up the stairs and saw Hannah flailing about, into his arms as she fell, giggling
“han have you been drinking?” asked a comically shocked Rhys
“errrrrrm. NO” she said, grinning manically, and Rhys looked at the other two, who fell about laughing, and then Zoe popped up
“hello gorgeous” she said, draping an arm around Rhys, more for support then anything
“yeah hi. Han your coming with me” Rhys said, sounding every bit the protective brother
“rhys, get a life!” Nancy grinned, and took Hannahs hand
“err, shes hammered” Rhys continued, not that it would of mattered if it wasn’t his sister
“your always telling me to be more adventurous” Hannah laughed, and she went off, leaving a bemused and slightly worried Rhys in her wake.
Archie, Kris, Justin, Elliot, Craig, John Paul, Zak, were all sitting around the plasma TV, playing on their X-BOX.
“Right, two team leaders” Justin said
“Me” Zak said, and Justin made sure he was the other one. They both stood up in a serious manner.
“Toss up for first pick” Zak said, digging a 2p out of his pocket
“heads” Justin declared
It was tails
“Elliot” Zak said
“Archie” Justin hit back
“yeah yeah, leave the “gays” last” Craig laughed
“Craig” Zak decided
“John paul” Justin said
“why am I last?” shireked Kris
“you can pick a team” shrugged Justin.
“Zaks” Kris said, and stomped over to his sofa.
“right, the war is on” Archie said, and the doorbell rang, the pizzas were in.
Zak dug in a bag he brought over, and brandished some wireless controls.
“nights in never felt so good.” Said Zak,
“Zak do you have a life?” Asked Elliot
“Yeah, for a matter of fact”
“what, Michaela?” Justin grinned, and John Paul looked at him in surprise
“you’re her boyfriend?”
“why the tone of surprise? And why don’t you know?”
“well shes been going on about some amazing bloke” he shrugged, and everyone laughed.
“so was Craig..” said Kris, and everyone else laughed.
2 hours later, and the pizzas were empty, Kris’ bad game had caused Justins team to win, and they were all sitting.
“Lets go to the loft” Justin said, who had drunk quite a lot of beer, aswell as the other guys…
Hannah was completely out of it. Dancing her heart out. She was also a trooper, she had been sick 3 times, and just drank more.
Then Darren came in, he seemed drunk, and depressed.
Him and Hannah began to dance together.
Hannah saw his outline,
“J?” she asked, as Darren wrapped his arms around her, and she coiled hers around him.
They kissed.
Justin arrived in the doorway.
“no” he said shortly, and instantly the alcohol washed away.
