Hollyoaks star, Darren Langford will play the Caterpillar in a new production of Alice in Wonderland.
The soap star will sing, dance and act his way through wonderland alongside an experienced big top cast – many of whom trained at Cambridge based Bodyworks dance company.
Darren will be joined on stage by Peter Dean, the TV actor most famous for his long-running role as Pete Beale in Eastenders.
Peter will be the voice of the Jabberwocky.
And the creature will appear on stage as a massive four-man puppet.
Last year, the same theatre company made a big splash with their production of The Little Mermaid – which saw record numbers attend.
The show will be directed by Tom Langdale, who has just finished a sell-out run himself.
He was in Olivier-Award-winning director Mitch Sabatian’s production of My Fair Lady at Kilworth House open air theatre.
Tom said: “My experience in the industry, combined with our recent success has helped us push forward to develop more and more exciting theatrical productions for St Neots. “It’s a huge town and in turn deserves a huge production.”
Darren Langford is currently shooting a new feature film, Retribution on location in Manchester.
The star will join rehearsals in October.
The show will run for two weeks in a big top tent near St Neots in November.
