A very tragic character if you think about it, I thought his death was very unfair and very sad....what are your thoughts on the character?

Great death but such a loss character wise, loved Dan and Debbie as a couple and so emotional watching his death scenes even now with Debbie being held back. Plus her finding the ring was heartbreaking.

Yea Dan was a great character and had some great storylines, I liked his moody, keep to himself attitude not like the dreadful in your face Dodger and how although he came across abrupt or offish deep down he had a nice nature and loved his family and Debbie. I dont't know if he was axed or if he wanted to leave but killing him off was the last cruel blow in the life of Dan Hunter....it was so random! did we ever find out why his car blew up? Was it due to being over heated or what

No idea how it just went boom so suddenly I guess it could have overheated or something as he had just won the race.

I always remember Ben putting up a closed until further notice sign in the pitstop and seeing all the flowers outside the shop so emotional. Dan never really got on that well with his family apart from Lisa so it was heartbreaking watching the family have so many regrets. Thats what hollyoaks needs now decent family units apart from the Osbornes and we are starting to see the Kane family there are none. The McQueens are poor these days just repeating old boring pointless stuff.

Remember the ring scene like it was yesterday red rose case really stuck with you after watching it...and Ben listening to Dans voice on the voicemail

Yea I remember the car exploding as Jake, Debbie and Ben watched on then Ben having to hold Debbie back as she rushed towards the car.....I think it is very remiss of the producers to not explain why Dan's car blew up...then remember Ben putting that sign up almost in tears......such good episodes.....sadly, not much like it anymore

Wan't there also an issue with a car part or was that just to get him into the race in the 1st place?
